Chemistry and Microbiology Testing Division (as Technical Division 2 or K2) has the functions of testing for Food, Environment and Microbiology – GMOs as follows:
– To support the regulatory agencies and enterprises in controlling the food quality, commodities and environmental pollution.
– To test components of food samples, agricultural products, seafood, meat products etc.: proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, mineral composition, etc.
– To test food hygiene and safety criteria, animal feeds, etc.: pathogenic microorganisms, industrial additives, banned substances, etc.
– To test basic chemical composition, microorganisms of biological preparations, soils, water, ambient air, exhaust gas, wastes.
– To test migration from food packaging, containers, and children’s toys, textiles, helmets and other consumer products etc.
– To survey, monitor, consult and make environmental supervision reports, as well as environmental impact assessment reports.
– To provide consultancy services on construction, equipping and installation of laboratory equipment according to ISO/IEC 17025.
– To provide training courses on monitoring, sampling and sample testing, method validation, laboratory management, etc.
